Mind Control

Mind Control The power our thoughts have to influence our reality is incredibly strong. We have almost all heard the proverb that says, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7) That statement is true in all aspects of life –especially when it comes to determining our success. It is possible, of course, to think one way while acting another, but eventually our thoughts will always determine our actions. That is inevitable. One doesn’t go out and cheat on their spouse without having cheated on them in their mind for a certain length of time. Nobody commits a major crime without having plotted it out. As individuals, we are all thinkers and every action has a thought process – consciously or unconsciously. The more time we spend thinking about something, the more likely it is to happen for us. That being true, mind control for success means governing our thoughts so only positive and victorious thinking occupies our mind.

No doubt it can be hard to think positively when your spouse is unemployed or underemployed, your house is in foreclosure, bills keep piling up and things seem absolutely hopeless. But here’s a secret: Good thoughts lead to good things. Always. You may not know how things are going to pan out for you, but keeping your thoughts positive allows you to be receptive to change. Sow the seeds of positive thinking now and you will surely reap the fruitage of success later.

1.) Watch Your Thinking

– Whenever you have a quiet moment to yourself, be aware of what you are thinking about. Are your thoughts focused on Facebook, drama at work or at home? When you’re in the car or at home do you immediately drown out your thoughts with the TV or radio? For many, it’s simply a habit to turn on some form of entertainment or go to social media to fill our thoughts. They require little effort and our brain goes along for the ride. But imagine the difference in your life if you spent more of your free time thinking about long-term goals, ways to succeed in your business, or even practicing a new skill to help you get that much further in business. Even simply being thankful and thinking about how you can help others will lead you down a more successful path. You’ll be amazed at how much “free time” you have to think when you develop the habit. When you’re in the shower, on hold with a customer service agent, sitting in traffic, or any other time when your mind might wander, control your thoughts to thinking about success.

2.) Develop a Plan

– Thinking about things can often be harder than actually doing them. A perfect example of this is going to the gym. Thinking about running a mile on the treadmill is tough but when you’ve laced up your gym shoes and you’re actually there, it isn’t so bad. Same thing goes with having a plan. Consider three areas in your life that you would like to change or improve. Write them down to keep yourself accountable and then actually do them. Creating a plan of action keeps you focused and turns your thoughts into actions.

3.) Just Do It

– Just like Nike tells us to do. Keep your list in a spot where you can see it every day and take the time to do a positive action to improve every chance you get. The plan is a constant reminder to check your thoughts and stay focused. Things like bad days, drama at work, unexpected bills and so on can quickly post a road block in our path. But keep your thoughts so focused on the good you’re doing and the success that lies ahead of you, that you don’t let yourself get down. Being active towards your goals will make this easier. Remember, the more you think about your goals, the more they will influence your habits, actions and destiny.

Mantra for Success:
